Go on, because at this point I dare you.

The internet is made up of lots of places. More than 90% of the world is denied access to some place or another.

My place in a forum with the slogan "Because we're just that much better" and people suddenly up in arms over it when NO ONE WHO IS NOT INVOLVED DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT REFERS TO is driving me batshit. And since I've already more than once publicly outed myself as a member of the place and have done so again and again, go ahead, ask me.

Here's a brief FAQ:

1. What is it?
A: A private forum. A private venting forum. A private venting forum of people I trust to keep anything said there under their hats and a place I can talk about anything unlike DA, the Tower, my LJ...

2. What does UKABADWLMR stand for?
A: Honestly? Doesn't matter what it stands for, really. It's a keyboard smash of letters, something about UK's airline board of directors - doesn't really matter.

3. OMG you talk about me there don't you?
A: Not to sound like I'm side-stepping the issue but what does it matter what I (or we, as the case may be) talk about there? Private. Forum. It's like Admin land, a private chat room, holding five AIM convos all at once, or posting to your LJ under a filter and mentioning that a post was put under filter later on down the road. In the grand end of things it doesn't matter what I talk about there because it is a private forum.

4. Can I be a member?
A: No.

5. Why not?
A: zomgbecausesomethingsomething - private forum. At this point I doubt membership will ever experience a growth especially because people are ZOMGMEEN and getting, to coin a phrase, "headhurt" over it.

6. I don't like you for being in it now! (I know, not really a question)
A: If you cannot accept the fact that I want and have a place where I can vent any private frustration then what the hell do you expect from a person, sainthood? I am of the mind that it is unhealthy to keep everything inside - it festers, it rots, it grows and it infects. I NEED a place where I can say something and have another rational voice go "wait, dude, cool your jets, -reasonable voice of reason inserted here-" for me. We all need it.

7. Why don't you change the slogan if you know it's offending people?
A: Because, dear lords above and below, it's a joke. No, I will not explain it - I don't have to, I am not beholden to anyone to explain my private jokes. We like our joke, we all get our joke, and relating to some things, it just makes us SMILE. People get offended over the stupidest things - why are you offended by what is a joke? Because it's phrased some shirty way? It's been our slogan for, I am not kidding, MONTHS.

Please, for heaven's sake, then just sodding ask it. Since my private life and habits are now the hot debate I might as well moderate a mild form of discussion over it lest I allow myself to feel the sheer enormous violation of privacy that this entails to me.

Note: do I sound pissed? I shall explain- I am being yelled at, chastised, insulted, and judged based on a PRIVATE PART OF MY LIFE. That has, frankly, existed for nearly a year and holds a special place as a fucking sanctuary. I am essentially being judged on a place that allows me freedom all because we're a closed-membership place with a slogan that is a JOKE no one but us gets.
